Obituary of Gloria M. Egan

Gloria M. Egan 1931 - 2016 Gloria M. Egan (nee Romano) died peacefully on December 3, 2016 at Maria Regina Residence. She was born in the Bronx, New York to Vincenzo and Concetta Romano and raised six daughters.   Patricia Conlon (Michael); Theresa Varone (Michael); Marian Nelson (Perry); Paula Jones (Bruce); Germaine Cassidy (Tom); Claudette Kollar (Ken) and was Grandmother to Christopher Swezey, Ryan and Sean Conlon, Jason and Allison Varone, Jovan and Peter Nelson, Matthew Murphy,  Michale Cassidy and Aubrey Kollar and great grandmother to Megan, Bridget and James Swezey, Greyson Conlon, and Mia Karetzky-Varone. She is survived by her beloved sisters Sanda Denove and Corrine O'Donnell and was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Egan . After her retirement from European American Bank after 20 years of service, Gloria traveled extensively, enjoyed her hobbies which included cooking, water color painting and gardening and visiting her large family.  She was a devoted parishioner at St. Joseph Church, Libertyville, IL and volunteered at local organizations.   Gloria was loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
