Obituary of James G. Tallon, Jr

James Gregory Tallon Jr., 52, passed away on December 15th, after a brave battle with cancer. Born and raised in Manhasset, the son of James Sr. and Madeline Tallon, Jim was a lifelong resident of the community. Jim was a graduate of Manhasset High School, and later attended the New York College of Health Professions, where he became a licensed massage therapist.
Jim was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. His love for his family was matched only by his love and dedication to the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department, where he was a volunteer firefighter and EMT with Company #1.
Jim is survived by his sisters, Madeline Marks (Andrew), and Phyllis Farawell (John). He also leaves behind seven nieces and nephews, and four great-nieces and nephews.
A wake will be held on Friday, December 18th, at Fairchild Sons. A funeral will take place on Saturday, December 19th, at St. Mary's Church in Manhasset, with internment at Nassau Knolls Cemetery.
