We are saddened to learn about the passing of Virginia. She will always be remembered with great fondness. She was a cherished friend and neighbor of my family for many years. She was always someone you can count on to "be there" for you. I will always be grateful for her friendship to our family in times of need. Each of my parents appreciated the kindness and friendship she offered to them. Virginia and I are a kindred spirit; sharing birth dates only a day apart (although not from the same year). May she rest in peace as she joins my parents and other loved ones in heaven. Our deepest condolences to Manny, Michael and Carolyn. May happy memories help you get through this difficult time period. With love, your transplanted Great Neck neighbors and life-long friends, Karen, Jeff, Gabrielle and Serena Steinfeld

I was so sorry to learn of Virginia's death. We knew each other from the days when our children were little and I always enjoyed meeting her around town. She was a lovely woman with a gentle sense of humor.
Who knew she was a Marine!
My condolences to her family.
May her memory be for a blessing.

I always loved the fact that if I were to describe having a former Marine who loved Pulp Fiction as a relative, that the image of Aunt Ginny probably would not be the first one to come to mind. We were so blessed by her warmth and enthusiasm. One of my first memories is of her patiently reading There's a Monster at the End of this Book to me about a bazillion times. Over this last year, Aunt Ginny's support of the family was so appreciated. Her amazing zest for life will live on through Michael and Carolyn. Aunt Ginny truly had a life well lived. I will miss her.

We met when our children were toddlers. They grew up to be good friends and we remained friendly also. Virginia lived a few houses down from mine and it was always wonderful to run into her. Her spontaneous laugh and beautiful smile were like medicine for me. She was bright, well read and informed. She never judged, she always accepted. I always wanted to see more of her - she was never boring. I shall miss her and I know I will always look for her when I pass her house. Rest in peace, Virginia.

Am devastated at the news. Virginia and I were classmates at St. Walburga's. We would meet several times a year in NYC
for lunch. Our last luncheon was on March 31st. She was so incredibly alive, a truly dear friend, a delight to be with.
Matt and her children have my deepest sympathy. Can't believe how many family members the Gormans have lost within the year, and now she joins them. My prayers are with you all.
