Friend Of Tommy posted a condolence
Thursday, April 28, 2016
I just heard the news of Tommy passing and I wanted to share my condolences with his family. I also wanted to share a couple of thoughts about Tommy. For someone so full of life, there doesn't seem to be very much out here and that doesn't seem fitting. I haven't seen or spoken to him in probably 10 years, but this news hit me, and I'm sure many others, very hard. Tommy seemed to burst on the scene at 109 out of nowhere and just decided he was going to run the show, which he did. Many of us just went along for the ride, and what a ride it was. I think of the many parties at his bungalow with Meatloaf, Rocky Horror and The Doors blasting all night. An interesting pool party in the park that only he could come up with. By the way, where were our parents during all of this? Playing frisbee or tag on the other bungalow roofs. Thank God we didn't have cell phones or YouTube back then. Actually, I would love to see some of that video. A canoe trip where Tommy decided to "borrow" someones boat as we camped across the river. So what if we all got shot at, it still makes me laugh. I probably speak for many of us in that these were the some of the best years of our lives. And then it was over. But I also think of thoughtful and kind things Tommy did. We probably all have those thoughts. He would do anything he could to help you. When I last saw Tommy probably more than 10 years ago, I could tell he was having a rough time. But as hard as it might have been, he smiled and laughed as we talked about some fun times we had. He was still the same Tommy. And that's what I do when I think of him. I smile and laugh and think of the fun we all had. I just hope he understood how much he meant to all of us.

I was so very sorry to hear about Tommy. We were friends back in the 80's and 90's and had lost touch when I moved to Boston, but I have many great memories filled with a lot of laughs. My sincere condolences to his family.
