Joseph P. Walsh passed away on January 4, 2017 in his 89th year. Joe was predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years, June Rose (née Gregor), in 2015. Joe and June led a very
active life together amongst the presence of their devoted five (5) children – Karen, Michael, Robert, James and Maureen. Together, they raised
the family to appreciate the great outdoors, always focusing on spreading this joy to surrounding friends and family, whether they were skiing in Vermont and Pennsylvania, or golfing and swimming at North Hempstead Country Club, where they were dedicated members
for many years. Remembered as Pop, Joe leaves behind nine (9) grandchildren; two (2) adoring granddaughters –
Erica and Kimberly, as well as seven (7) proud grandsons
– Eric, Ian, Brendan, Ryan, David, John and Bryan.
Friends & Family can visit on Thursday, January 5, 217 at Fairchild Funeral Home in Manhasset, NY from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. The funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 6th
at St. Mary’s RC Church (Manhasset) – followed by interment at Nassau Knolls Cemetery in Port Washington, NY.
