Jason was born the eldest of three children to Jennifer and Shu Shao Fu in Taipei, Taiwan on November 1, 1963 and immigrated to the United States in 1974. As an adolescent, he worked in his parents’ restaurants as a waiter and host, and as he got older, a business manager, mixing cocktails for diners as a teenager way before he reached the legal drinking age. His skills as a mixologist must have been impressive because, thankfully, no one reported him.

He was intelligent, sharp, reserved, generous, compassionate and had a wicked, sarcastic, witty humor.
He loved fine dining, tennis, traveling, the beach and tropical vacations, and he had a passion for sailing, karaoke, and the arts.
Jason cared deeply for his mother, his family and friends, and was a humble, selfless man.
He was preceded in death by his father and younger brother Paul. He is survived by his mother; his wife Zheng and their dog JJ; his children Aaron, Zach, Lydia and their mother Vivian; his sister Belle and husband Jim and their son Tyler.
