Dr. Josephine Y. King, Dolly as she was known to her family and Jo as she was known to her friends and colleagues, of Washingtonville, NY passed away on October 24, 2012.
Josephine was born December 29, 1921 in Homestead, PA. The beloved wife of the late Dr. Benton D. King, daughter of Charles and Maria Yager and sister, to her predeceased siblings: Elizabeth, Margaret, Clara and Charles.
Dr. King is survived by her two sons, Garrett (Kathy) and Loring (Tina); six grandchildren: Brandon, Elizabeth, Caitlyn, Sean, Leanne and Jenna, and her loving dog, Charlie.
Dr. Josephine King, Professor of Law Emerita at Pace Law School in White Plains, NY, dedicated over 40 years of her life with a profound zest in sharing her knowledge and insights within the Law Community. She authored the following: No Fault Automobile Accident Law, The Health Care System and Legal and Ethical Issues in Health Care, as well as multiple articles in the areas of insurance, constitutional law and the health care system. Not satisfied with just the academics, Josephine also served as chairman of her local Board of Ethics Committee. As an accomplished learner, author, lecturer and teacher, Dr. Josephine King achieved many professional milestones and championed ethical behavior in government.
