I have lovely memories of your parents at St. Anastasia's supporting you and the folk group all those years. Every time I drove down Douglaston Pkwy I would think of them and you , Maria. We are blessed to have had such loving , and devoted parents and his gift to you is already evident in who are and the life you lead for family, friends and in your works. God bless.

Paul was a close friend, co-worker and fellow architect. He and I worked together as leaders of the Queens AIA and the Queens PDC about 10 years ago. His dedication to his profession was remarkable.
Paul was a dedicated father and husband. His love for his daughter Maria was very clear in all his actions and he always spoke so highly of his wife. He was a lucky man to have so much love.
Being a devoted Italian with a love of the culture. I remember having many meetings when pizza was the choice.
Looking back, it was funny how he was always complaining about the difficulty of getting approvals at the Building Department and would always tell me how he wanted to quit architecture. It is ironic that he spent most of his early life working for the agency that he later resented.
We had many meetings together dealing with the Queens AIA for a period of 4 years or more. He was rather quick to make remarks and to give helpful insights. He was a mentor and a friend since I am 25 years younger.
When I first started out in architecture, he was the Queens DOB Deputy Commisioner and I needed an approval on a reconsideration on a large school project. He quickly granted us the recon. Our paths crossed many times in our careers.
He would come to the DOB industry meetings and complain about how they were making it more difficult for us to get things approved. Things are getting worse, he would say. I think he was a prophet
Paul would always comment on my bravery and how I would fight City Hall. He would say "You can't fight City Hall"
I remember getting Christmas Cards from Paul every year. He really loved the Holidays and cared deeply about people. He was "good people"
Too many more experiences to mention and too many happy memories to remember. Memories that will stay with me always. Rest in Peace my Friend.

Dear Uncle Paul -
The Day God Called You Home
God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw your path was difficult, he closed you tired eyes,
He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.
When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,
We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.
You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,
You live on through your children, you're always by our side.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you on the day God called you home

Your at peace and reuniting with your parents, sister and brother
