I have known and admired Jack for over forty years. The eight years at A G Becker I spent reporting to Jack provided a primer in Christian honor entegrity and honesty while leading a diverse cutting edge investment firm. Jack succeeded to the pinnacle of his field, earning respect and admiration from his peers, yet he never compromised his values. Rest in peace old friend. Into God's hand where you will be well received. Paul Leonard

Jack touched more lives and shaped or influenced more careers than anyone I have known. His influence on my career and life began in San Francisco in 1967, then Los Angeles and New York, at AG Becker and then Prudential Securities. I know that lives and careers of many people were shaped, directly and indirectly, by Jack in many places, over the years. Jack's integrity and insight were great and far reaching, with a special blend of humor, and a lesson for many. I'll never forget Jack introducing my family to a summer rental at the beach, just down the road from him, on our arrival in NY; never forget the boatride and good times. Perhaps most important of all, Jack cared about people, how they were doing, their families, their lives, always asking after them. Jack was very special. Doug Robbins

Jack, I am proud to say that some of the greatest days of my career were spent working with and for you at Pru. You helped me grow into a professional with the trust you bestowed and your open door policy. You had no tolerance for fools and were always willing to go to bat for good ideas. Lessons were always given, not just about the business but also about life, mostly without fanfare. I absorbed it all. I like to say that Prudential launched the career of some of the best people that Wall Street has ever seen. You should be proud of the fact that these were your troops. Though our personal lives and responsibilities get in the way, I've always felt a debt of gratitude for your guidance and more important, friendship. Rest in Peace. Frank

What a sweet man. The first time I met "Big Jack", I had been referred to him on a personal matter. He welcomed me and helped me without question. I was lucky enough to spend some time with Jack over the past two years discussing everything Hoya. He was a good man and I will miss him.
