Hi Dad,
It's been a month and I miss you so much. It's been hard not to pick up the phone and call. I hope you are at peace and proud of all the family and friends who paid their respects. Has #4 been cooking up feasts and dirty jokes for you? You're probably eating a huge bowl of wonton noodles with uncle Tony and guzzling REGULAR Coke! Make sure you barbecue that chicken through and through. Just put up a picture of you and Tiger. Hope you have the dogs alongside you! Please come visit and talk to you soon! Miss you and love you!

It was with much sadness and dismay when I heard that my Uncle Joe had passed away so quickly.
I remember my uncle as being my "fun" uncle as he was only 10 years aolder than me. He was always fun to be with, generous, and thoughtful. I have many good memories of Joe. Our world has lost not just a nice guy but a really nice guy and beloved uncle. We need more people like Joe in this world with whom to celebrate life.
You are at peace now Joe, reunited with those you love. We will all be together again. That is my consolation with you leaving.
I asked a Native American spiritual brother to sing a going home song for you. He honored you by singing a song while drumming a pow wow drum and in the presence of sacred eagle feathers. You will be going home in a good way.
Miss you deeply uncle.
Love. Vince

Dear Uncle Joe,
I was so sad to hear of your sudden passing last Friday.
You have been a part of my life from the day that you met my parents (George & Teresa Wong) while going door to door selling typewriters at Tung Ying Building in TST.
As your business relationship grew with my Dad, so did your friendship. I'm sure you'll be happy to know that he thinks of you as his best friend and fishing buddy (among other activities I'm sure...).
Through the years, you've taught me valuable life lessons (or tried to at least), you've introduced me to Hungry Tigers when I was a kid, you've attended my wedding and I've attended yours. You were so nice to ask Nick to show me around when I first moved down to LA and had no friends in the area.
Your crazy stories/experiences always bring a chuckle when I think about them.
You've experienced life to the fullest and brought happiness to everyone around you.
You will be missed, but never forgotten.
God Bless,
Edmond Wong
P.S. Oh, if it's ok with you, I'd like to tell my son Maxwell (when he is ready) about some of your crazy stories... "The Adventures of Uncle Joe".

Joe,
The person that I know for years, is a very strong person, he enjoys
taking care of his families, sharing his time with friends. We have
spent time together in Altantic City, Majong tables, fishings, dinnings
and many special occations such as Birthdays, Christmas and New Years.
He is hard working, and always help others when needed. I believe
all of us will remember him, thinking of him, and talking about him
in the rest of our life.
He is so considerate that he does not want to create difficulties to his
families and friends. He just took off with a sudden, so we all can have
less pain while seeing him away.
Thinking of you!
Always,
Dominic & Piera

Joe is the nicest person on earth. He has a big heart and always care for other people. Wherever he lives, East or West, he always have friends around.
When were very very young, about 40 years ago, with very little money and experience, we made a bold decision to start a business together. In the face of uncertainty, there was only one thing we knew for sure....we can always count on each other.
Over the years, through good and bad, we stood by each other. Even though in recent years, we have both retired from the airfreight business, and living oceans apart, we would still catch up with each other.
Joe, you will never be far from us. You will always live in our hearts.
