What a wonderful life Aunt Marie had. I have such fond memories of family dinners at Grandma and also Uncle Jim and Aunt Marie's house. I was very young but these family times still live with me as my happiest childhood remembrances. Thank you Aunt Marie for the warm memories you leave behind in us.
Also I last saw her when she and Uncle Jim visited in Bath. Of course she made a delicious Cherry Cake on that occasion. My wife Peg wanted me to include that she always felt a strong connection to Aunt Marie and she still has and uses several of her recipes as Aunt Marie was teaching Peg how to bake like an Italian. Her memory lives on in us and Peg still uses her recipes, clearly marked as Aunt Marie's Chocolate Chip cake or Sfinge.
I miss know she is gone but I do know she still remains with us. Love your Nephew Joe and wife Peg Striano
MRS,STRAINO WAS A LOVING PERSON. GROWING UP AS A CHILD SPENDING MANY TIMES IN PLAINVIEW LONG ISLAND AT AUNT MARIE & UNCLE DONNIES HOUSE . SHE WOULD MAKE THE FRIED ZUCHINI FLOWERS. STILL TO THIS DAY I REMEMBER THEM. SHE LOVES TO COOK. GOD BLESS AND MAY SHE REST IN PEACE.
