Ms. Warner was my Mother's favorite Principal. My Mom, Pat Stang was the Vocal Music Teacher at JFK for 25 years. She too passed away after a brief illness on 1/14/15. Ms. Warner was such a big part of my childhood growing up at JFK. She was bright and always asked how I was doing. I will fondly remember her fashionable outfits and the bracelets that clang as she walked down the halls of JFK. My Mom had tremendous respect for her. My Mom always talked about Ms. Warner's Flag Day celebrations that they both worked so hard on year after year. JFK's 10th Anniversary will also be a fond memory. It was held outside and a rain storm came right in the middle of it back in 1976. So many great memories! May Ms. Warner rest in peace. My sincere condolences to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all that had the privilege of knowing and working with her.

I was young, new teacher when I arrived at the Kennedy School. Grace was the principal, and she was a mentor and role model. She helped to mold me into a strong teacher and union leader. It was an honor to work with her. She will always be remembered by generations of students and teachers. My condolences to her family and friends.

Grace was a positive mentor in my growth as an elementary school teacher. When Kensington Johnson closed, I was transferred to John F. Kennedy. I only knew that Grace had a reputation of being strict and effective. Being fairly young, I was a little nervous that she would not accept me or my ways of teaching children.
All the years at Kennedy with her at the helm, were inspiring and educational. I only regret that I had not known her as a principal for a longer period of time. I learned so much from such a special woman and am grateful that we had many years together.
She is a loss to the Great Neck School System.
Sincerely,
Linda Brecher

I wish to extend my heartfelt sympathy to Grace's family.
I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to be an AIC at the Kennedy Elementary School in the mid 1970s. I learned so much from Grace - she loved the school and was dedicated to the school community. Upon her retirement I served as the second principal of JFK.
Grace's influence will remain in the hearts of many generations. And that is how she will live on through the decades.
Kindest regards,
Cathy Moore
