I had the privilege and honor of starting my railway career under him in 1965 at Varanasi. Even today, I vividly remember the day in September 1965 when I reported to him for duty. I cannot forget the warm welcome that he accorded me. He mentored me until he left railway to join BHEL. Railway's loss was BHEL's gain. He was extraordinarily brilliant, dedicated and capable of taking prompt and quick decisions. He was affable to all his peers ad staff, especially me. I regret that I could not meet him though I lived not very far from NY. It is only in November 2015 when during my visit to Delhi I tried to locate him that I came to know about his demise.

Respected Bhabhi ji Namaste. We all were shocked to learn about sad demise of respected Dodeja Sahib. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. We feel we have lost an excellent and sincere friend. He was a source of strength and inspiration. At this time of sadness our feelings and thoughts are with all the members of the family. Please console them on our behalf. All partings are sad and this cannot be an exception. But then it is destiny and will of god. We all have to submit before it. We common mortals can only pray to god for peace to the departed soul.
