Just found out about Marlene last night at the St. Mary's HS 40th reunion. I am so sad to hear. Marlene was one of my favorite people at St. Mary's - we were friends through grammar school and high school - and I send my condolences to the family.

I worked with Marlene at the Metropolitan Museum of Art during the 1990s. She was a pleasant person and fair manager. I often recall our conversations about art and culture. The news of her passing was a shock. May her family find comfort in the memory of her joy of life.

My condolences and my heart go out to those close to Marlene. I am stunned and saddened to find out that Marlene passed away. I knew her for the past 9 years, working with her at the Educational Alliance and living near her in Brooklyn. Marlene was so proud of her son Markie and spoke of him all the time. She spoke so lovingly of her husband Mark. She was extremely upbeat, kind, and generous. Such an enormous loss for a beautiful person.
My deepest sympathy,
Karen

I met Marlene at the Met like so many when I was starting out in NYC. Marlene's constant love and friendship never wavered. You have always been there with an open heart and mind, never in a rush, full of ease and keen insight. Your remarkable memory for everyones birth dates and astrological chart was outstanding. And you always followed up with concern for all my family and friends throughout the many years. You have left a wake of Grace, Love, and Kindness in each of us who had the honor of walking with you in your all too very short and powerful life. Thank you Marlene. May God Bless Mark and Markie in this time of such loss. God Bless you Marlene.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of a lovely soul such as Marlene's. I worked at the Metropolitan Museum when she was there. I found her to be a loving, outgoing and just a FUN person. I do remember how terrific her smile was, she had a smile that just brightens up any room. Once at an employee art show she displayed one of her works and I was amazed at how talented she was. Occasionally she played volley ball behind the Met with a group of us after work. We were a pretty pathetic bunch playing the game but we had fun. I have such fond memories of Marlene that I will treasure. I am honored to have had the opportunity to have met her in my life. Words can not express the heartfelt sorrow of her passing. I only hope that the family will find comfort and peace during this time and know that Marlene has touched many people in her lifetime and we are all PROUD to have known her. My deepest condolences to the family. You will be in our hearts and prayers.
Sherifa Ali-Daniel and family.

On behalf of the Glover Family we send our deepest condolences to the Mancini and Parks Family. Marlene was such a joy to be around. She was a mentor to me when I started working at the MET. Her guidance and direction was very influential and it helped mold me into the person I am today both personally and professionally.
Mark, my brother, my dear friend words are never adequate in moments like these. I will say though, that my heart goes out to you and your son, and I will always remember the joyous memories that I was privileged to have in knowing Marlene. God Bless.

My deepest condolences to Marlene's family. I worked with Marlene at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the early 90's and I always remember her fondly and as someone who always had a smile on her face. She was a warm and loving person and I wish I had kept in touch with her after leaving the Met. We met up again via Facebook and I loved seeing her pictures with her husband and son, both whom she adored beyond words. Marlene, rest in peace. I hope you're with your loved ones who have passed on, especially your dad, who I know you lost not too long ago. Heaven is a better place because of you. Love you.

No words can properly describe how deeply sorry I was to learn of Marlene's passing. My heart goes out to Mark and the entire family.
I had the privilege of working with her and Mark for several years. Marlene had such an inner light, contagious energy, and sincere warmth along with this massive sense of humor. She was one of the first people at the Met who took me by the hand when I first started, welcomed me and taught me all she knew - she was generous of spirit and always made things okay and fun.
Marlene - you will be missed!
Love,
Will
