Dear Family I am very sorry to read about your mom passing away. I didn't really know her that well other than through some teaching related correspondence and a mutual interest in technology, particularly email which was still very new at that stage. I recall receiving my first ever picture of your mother. Initially I couldn't open it until she sent the program to do it. Thereafter she sent me info on space including a cardboard space shuttle which the children I taught had great fun constructing and testing. I came across a postcard covered in copper which she sent to me when she was in Pueblo which prompted me to try and look her up. My condolences to the family. She was a special person. I am very sorry for your loss. Joanie was a very good friend of mine in high school. She was actually my best friend in the 8th, 9th and 10th grade. I have lots of fun and fond memories of her. She was taken way too soon and for that I am so very sorry for your family. I saw her at our 20 year high school reunion in 2007. She was gorgeous, happy and full of life. It is hard to fathom that shortly after that encounter her battle with cancer began. I did not know. We lost touch but my cherished memories of her will never fade. Dear Charles and every family member of Joan: Joan was an amazing woman whom I will never forget. Joan's energy, determination and passion for life have inspired me beyond words.
