Obituary of Joseph V. Vasek

Joseph Vasek 77, passed from this life to the next on September 11, 2015 with family by his side. Joseph was born January 2, 1938 in Manhasset to Joseph M and Anna L. Vasek. Beloved Husband of the late Nora Vasek. Beloved brother to Emily. Loving Father to Joanne, Joseph, John and Jim. Cherished grandfather to TJ, James Jr, Justin, Nora, Daniel and Jennifer. Dearest companion to Sheila Nolan. Joseph was stricken young in life with serious illness and the loss of his young wife. Never losing his faith, inner strength and conviction he confronted and fought through forty years of illness without complaint or question. Deeply religious and firm in his faith, he always found the time to say a few good ones. (The Rosary) Dad could fix anything and was extremely talented in all areas of mechanics and home improvement. Dad never gave up….he fought right to the end… never lost the smile on his face, he never lost the will to live…he was strengthened by his Faith and the love for his family. Joseph (Dad) was a remarkable man…we were blessed to have him as our Dad and your friend….we will cherish his memory forever.
