Obituary of James E Halpin

JAMES E. HALPIN, cherished father, Poppy, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. Jim was born in April 1920 and raised in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Manhasset over 65 years ago to raise his family. Jim was married to his beloved Dorothy for 55 wonderful years, until she passed in 1998. Jim thrived raising his four children (Jim, Suzanne, Kevin and Paul) and in embracing their spouses (Carol, Jeffrey, Lorraine and Jane). Jim was an avid traveler and until his later years loved to play golf with his buddies. Jim was also a proud graduate of Villanova University. In addition to his children and their spouses, he is survived by 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 3 nieces and a nephew.
