I only knew him as Richie. He was my best friend in Levittown and Island Trees High School. We met in the 6th grade. He lived down the street from me. He moved to Port Washington in the 11th grade. We never knew his first name was Sal and never knew he started using it after he moved. I live in Georgia now but a few years ago my wife and I visited him and Fran when were up in NY visiting family. I am greatly hurt by his passing. We played ball together and were "Ham" radio operators. We spent almost every Saturday at Levittown roller skating arena. His younger brother Billy often came with us. Our prayers are with him and his family--Ronnie.

Please accept my sincere condolences to Mrs. Zimbardi, Daryl & the whole family. Sal was a good man & he was always a supportive & conscientious Officer & Board Member of Port Counseling Center. He will be missed a great deal in the Port Washington community. May He Rest in Peace.
