Dearest Jan! How much I loved sitting at your sunny table with one of your quilts close behind on the wall! How I remember you and Nic coming to my parents' house in Setauket, talking about the beautiful drive on 25A. How much I loved hearing you laugh and best of all telling one of those stories in that Osterman voice (your mother's voice, my father's voice, Stan's voice). I loved your way of seeing things--sending me a picture of crocuses from your garden by email in March. You made the world funnier and sweeter.
