Obituary of Nicholas Veljacic

Nicholas T. Veljacic, 93, of Port Washington, New York, passed away peacefully on February 29, 2016 with his beloved family at his side. Born in Croatia, son of Thomas and Anna, beloved husband of Maryann for 67 years. Formerly of Queens and New York City cherished by adoring family, Frank and Thomas and devoted grandfather of 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Loving brother of John and Catherine, served 2 years in World War 2 European Theater and New York City Detective for over 30 years. Nicholas was a loving, kind compassionate husband, father, grandfather and father in law.
