Posthumously, I want to thank Thomas Dowling for saving my brother's life way back in 1974. In looking through some old papers, I came across the newspaper article regarding my brother, Thomas Klarikaitis, and the boating accident that took the lives of two of his friends and one young boy. Thanks to Mr. Dowling, who called the Coast Guard to alert them about what he had witnessed, my brother and another man were rescued by the quick action of the Coast Guard and especially that of Mr. Dowling's reaching out for help so quickly. My brother went on to live a full life in Freeport with his wife, children and grandchildren. I pray that soul of your Thomas Dowling may rest in peace forever.

I tried to do this when I first learned of dear Tom's death, but it didn't go through. We will all miss him so much- such a warm and welcoming man. I still miss Rosemary, and am happy that they are now together again. Love to all the family and warm sympathy to everyone. Jean
