Obituary of Patricia Hehn

Patricia Kilgour Hehn, originally from Glasgow, Scotland, unexpectedly passed away on May 18th, at age 72. She was a long time resident of Port Washington, where she raised her three daughters, Tracy, Deborah, and Wendy, alongside her loving husband, Donald, who passed away November 12th, 2014. She was a respected and beloved baby nurse at North Shore University Hospital for the better part of 40 years. Her family and friends will remember her fondly as a constant companion, always putting their needs ahead of her own. She was a master crafter who never sought profit in exchange for the love, time, and energy she put into her art. Everyone who came in contact with her remembers her as a kind soul with an infectious grin. She will be sorely missed. In addition to her three beautiful daughters, Tracy Friedman (Craig), Deborah Derby (Robert), and Wendy Hehn, Patricia is survived by her sister Catherine Masson (William), who still resides in Glasgow, her five grandchildren, Catherine, Mikaela, and Connor Friedman and Jack and Brianna Derby, as well as many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to March of Dimes or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
