Joe was one of a kind! I had the pleasure of spending a lot of time with him from a young age. I am married to Joe's brother Stephen and we all met in high school. Joe and I had a special relationship, I could say whatever I wanted ( and vise versa) to him good or bad and it was all okay! He truly loved my children and treated them with love. He was thrilled about their accomplishments and thought their children were great! He always asked about them, I wish he could have spent time with them, I could just hear his laughter!!! Babies do something to us! I am sad that I can no longer talk to him on the phone anymore. We live in Florida, so we spoke on the phone more than saw each other during his last years. I have so many favorite memories of him. The most recent was when he lost his eye to cancer and he has a "temporary" one placed. We went up to see him and he kept torturing me by taking it out and of course making jokes about it. I love and miss you very much. See you when I get there!
