My name is. Vivian Marshall and I just heard the news of Joan's passing from Juliana. I am in shock ! I was waiting to hear from JOAN about her eye surgery. We have been friends for over 50 years and I will miss her so very much. My thoughts are with you!

I Love Joan. From the first time we met, we were the best of friends. (Maybe with the exception of Juluianna). We spoke almost every day and mostly several times a day. After my mother's death, she assumed the role of surragate mother. We laughed hours on in and we had disagreements, but we always came back to each other in the end. My saddest feelings are that no one told me about Joan's accident, when there would have been time for me to hold her hand and pray with her. I will miss her everyday that much I know. I will never forget Joan. She would ask me everyday if I had been drinking enough water. We spoke nightly and daily even after Joan's retirement. I am angry that I did not know until Monday, that she had her accident on the previously Thursday.
Joan, I love you and I will always keep you in my heart and mind.
