Dear Breen family: We were very saddened to hear of your Dad's passing. He was a great man and father. Please accept condolences and know that we have you all in our thoughts and prayers. Growing up next door we have some many fond memories of him. He was one of the most honorable men I know and a true symbol of everything good about being an American and being Irish, we learned a lot from what he valued most...his family. I played with Tom in the Inis Fada Pipe Band for some 40 years. He knew me as a kid to middle aged adult. During that span, Tom was always a bigger than life character that loved his family and his Irish Heritage. Many a night after practice the band would retire to the bar for a beer and some laughs. Tom was always a gentleman, including when you disagreed with him. Conversation would then be spirited and colorful. You always knew what side of the fence Tom was on. A strong man with a strong opinion and a strong voice, but most importantly, a man with a good heart. I miss those days that will forever be with me, and I will miss Tom Breen. Rest In Peace my friend. We shared some wonderful times.
