Obituary of Jaime Martone Peters

Jaime Martone Peters, 37, passed away in his sleep at his childhood home in Manhasset, New York, in the early hours of Monday, April 3, 2017. Jaime had a sweet, energetic personality that surrounded those he met with a sense of warmth and sincerity. When Jaime wanted something for someone else, he went way beyond what was necessary; he was singularly focused on doing things - small, distinct efforts as well as bold gestures - to deliver joy. Ask anyone lucky enough to have crossed paths with Jaime, and you will hear countless recollections told with a voice of quiet, delighted pleasure, about specific, thoughtful things Jaime had done for them. Jaime's love also extended to the underprivileged and underserved, demonstrated through his youth boxing program at Adventures in Learning, in Manhasset, and his support of animal charities. He wholeheartedly donated his time to deserving children in the hopes of giving kids lifelong skills and opportunity. Jaime is survived by his father and stepmother, Paul and Clare Peters; his mother and stepfather, Linda and Phil Okun; his brother, Adam Peters; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jaime's was a life that burned very bright, and ended too soon. He is loved and missed.
