Helen and family. My deepest condolences for such a great loss. I loved Nicky like he was family. I will miss seeing him sitting outside or standing by the gate. I will miss the smell of his cigar in the fall when the windows were open. He was such a giving and caring man. I will never forget the time (on Christmas Day), when my family was traveling to Jersey and we had an accident near the Cross Island Parkway. My son's car was totaled and we had to call AAA. They would only allow two passengers in the truck. There were three of us. We called Nicky. He was there in a heartbeat. Helen and he made sure that we were not stranded. He drove my son and I home...to Shirley. My son and I will never forget that selfless gesture. He will be missed so much by so many. It's so hard to look over at your house and not see you there. May you rest in peace Nicky. We will never forget you. Love Joanne and son Joe
