Obituary of James Joseph Harris

James J. Harris of Manhasset, NY died on August 27 in his 85th year.  He was loved by his wife and family.  James was born April 13, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY,
the son of the late David and Josephine (Ulrich) Harris. James graduated from St. John’s University with a BA in accounting and became a hard-working CPA.
He was a partner at the accounting firm Coopers and Lybrand and later served as the CFO for St. Clare’s Hospital in NYC and Mercy Hospital on Long Island. 
James is survived by his wife Rita, his daughters Kathleen, Patricia Mayerhauser (Tom), and sons John, James (Laureen), and Michael (Patricia). He is also
survived by his grandchildren Ryan, Taylor, Dylan, Jennifer, Michelle, Emma, and Norah and great-grandchild Rowan. James is also predeceased by his siblings, Rosemary (Gillingham) and David.  His funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday September 1,10am, at St. Mary's Church, Manhasset followed by interment in the Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Westbury.
