I had the privilege of knowing Loretta through work at American Airlines as flight attendants. She was beautiful inside and out. We spoke of our lives. Her's at times was very sad since, she lost her 3 most important men in her life... son, husband, and father very close together and too soon. It must have been terrible but, she kept going. Always helpful, kind, and smart. Last year I met her newly married niece (whom Loretta loved very much) on our Zurich layover with her new husband. Our flight back to NY cancelled and Loretta was so worried about getting them home with us. (Always the caring mother)
It all worked out in the end but you could see how consistently caring she was. Sadly, I did not know of Loretta's passing or funeral until late yesterday. I am so sorry I was not there to celebrate her life and to confirm that she was absolutely lovely! And that she was an outstanding old world Italian cook, that would have you try her quiche
or mozzarella lasagna at 35,000 feet. Loretta,..thank you for sharing your life with me. ❤U. ❤Louisa
