I am so sorry to hear that Dermot is no longer with us. I remember him well as a kind and good-hearted classmate at Manhasset High School. Please accept my sympathy for his family and friends. I'm sure he touched many lives in an unforgettable way.

I had the good fortune to attend MHS with Dermot and was invited to go with him to his Senior Frolic. Dermot will always be remembered by me with a smile on his face. Dermot genuinely loved to laugh. He was a kind soul. My heart goes out to his family and good friends and MHS classmates. No doubt he did not always have an easy time of it and this final medical situation would not be the way he wanted to live. But, great sadness at Dermot dying at 62. Deep sympathies to all.
