Obituary of Albert Wang

Albert “Sonny” Wang, age 88, of Manhasset passed away peacefully at home on March 23 with his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Constance by his side.  He will be lovingly remembered by his four children: Kevin (Donna),  Jonathan (Lucy), Claudia and Adrienne, his six grandchildren-  Megan, Catherine, Jillian, Victoria, Thomas and Remy. He was born in the Bronx on September 14, 1929 and as a child his family moved to Moodus, Conn. where he was an accomplished athlete as a pitcher for the Moodus Noises in the Connecticut semi-pro Shoreline League and was an All State Basketball player at Nathan Hale High School.  He started his college career on a basketball scholarship to Drake University and graduated from the University of Connecticut.  He is a Korean War veteran and was a  New York Life Insurance Company executive for 45 years.  Al was a loving husband, father, grandfather, mentor and friend to many. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Manhasset Chapter of the AHRC.
