Obituary of Emanuel J. Karavousanos

Please share a memory of Emanuel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

“Now cracks a noble heart. Good night, sweet prince, And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!”

Emanuel J. Karavousanos (November 20, 1932 – April 4, 2018)

 Army Veteran of Korean War.

Loving Father of Theanne Ricci and Alex Karavousanos

Beloved Grandfather of Alexa, Taylor and Brooke Ricci, and Nicholas (Niko), Athena and Christian Karavousanos

Dad was born on the island of Kythera, Greece.  He came to NYC as a young boy and lived in Queens his entire life.  He loved “everyone” and always cherished spending time with friends and family.  Those who knew him loved his spirit, generosity and warm character.  Dad would help anyone and felt it was our obligation to help each other. He was an amazing friend and an even better father who set a splendid example for us all.

NEITHER FLOWERS NOR A DONATION IS EXPECTED.  However, in response to those who have asked, flowers would be appreciated for those unable to attend in-person, so we feel your presence at the services. For those attending in-person, a donation to the Alzheimer's Association (https://www.alz.org) would be appreciated. Alzheimer’s and Dementia afflict many people and a cure would be helpful not only to those with the disease but to all the caretakers and families.  We are simply extremely grateful for all your kind thoughts, condolences and very touching memories of Dad. Much love to all our friends and family around the world!

May his memory be ever Eternal.
