Obituary of Daniel J. Larocca

Daniel Larocca, resident of Manhasset NY, formally of Brooklyn NY, passed away on Aril 30th at home at the age of 97. Daniel was born February 27th, 1921. He was the second child born to Mary Nunzianti Larocca and Daniel Larocca. 

He studied education at NYU but delayed his career to serve in the US Army in the 82nd Airborn Division during WWII. At his welcome home party, he met his future wife, a friend of his sisters. Dan and Aurora Savoy married in 1947. Dan and Aurora settled in Brooklyn where Daniel worked as a school teacher and principal. This was a career he enjoyed every day. Dan worked tirelessly to help students improve their lives and achieve their goals. They had 3 children. 

Daniel is survived by his wife of 70 years, Aurora and his son Joseph and Daughter Mary. His eldest son, Daniel Jr, predeceased him.  In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in his name to Good Shepard Hospice, Catholic Services:
