Obituary of John A. Tokar

JOHN A. TOKAR of Great Neck, New York died on July 9, 2018 at the age of 84. John is survived by his son Christopher, daughter Karen, granddaughter Georgeanne and companion Celia Minieri: his wife Rosemarie, son Mark and sister Donna Pfeifer predeceased him. John was a Civil Engineer but spent more than 30 years in investment banking and corporate finance. He also taught at NYU Graduate School, Seton Hall University and Villanova University. John was a graduate of Xavier High School, Notre Dame University and received an MBA and PHD in finance from NYU Graduate School of Business. John and Rosemarie Tokar established an Endowed Scholarship Program for “special” needy youngsters at Xavier High School and the University of  Notre Dame. Visiting will be on July 16, 2018 at Fairchild Funeral Home, Manhasset, New York from 3-5 and 7-9 PM; a Funeral Mass will be celebrated on July 17, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Aloysius RC Church, Great Neck, New York. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to the Rosemarie and John A. Tokar Endowed Scholarship at Xavier High School or  University of Notre Dame.
