Over the years we always enjoyed Great Uncle Dick with his dry wit and humor. He had a stature and class about him like no other. For years we e mailed back and forth which I always enjoyed staying in contact with him like he was nearby even though he lived 16 hours away from us. Thirteen years ago my mother (Cladene Boyle-Becker) my sister (Trudee Hill) and myself had the opportunity to go out East and stay with Uncle Dick and Aunt Lorry. They were amazing hosts and we had a wonderful time also having the opportunity to spend time with Lisa and Jeff as well as Kerry, Dennis and Tracey. Our hearts go out to all of the family at the loss of this amazing man. Hugs to all.

My GREAT Uncle Dick was a celebrity in Moline and thus with me. His larger than life personality welcomed me every time that I saw him! Aside from childhood visits, my favorite memories are emailing with him. His candor and humor were second-to-none. My son, Lynden Leo Fields, shares my great uncle Dick's birthday. He also shares the Boyle name Leo. It's hard to fathom that another family legacy is now only among us spiritually. Hugs to everyone grieving and especially to Amy, Lisa, Carrie and Lee.

My wife and I would like to express our deepest sympathy in Dick's passing. A few years back, we were visiting NYC during Christmas time. When I mentioned to Dick we would be close by, he arranged a dinner so we could meet all of the family from the area. Family was very near and dear to Uncle Dick. He will be missed.
