GUTLEBER - John J.

The Castagna Realty Company mourns the sudden loss of our dear President and CEO, John J. Gutleber, and we extend our deepest sympathies to his loving and cherished family. John was a colleague, mentor and friend to many. A native Long Islander with degrees from Adelphi University, John had an extensive career in real estate finance and development.

John was involved with numerous philanthropic organizations including The Viscardi Center, Tilles Center for Performing Arts, Urban Land Institute and Long Island Association, to name a few.

John is survived by his wife, Fran Gutleber, his daughters Stephanie Gutleber, Jaclyn Gutleber and Megan Silva, his stepdaughter Lauren Brunwasser and stepson Cory Brunwasser, his sisters Irene Melomo, Therese Lack, Kelly Farmer and Ann Dempsey, and brother Edward Gutleber. John was predeceased by his first wife, Lee Gutleber.

A wake will be held at Fairchild & Sons Funeral Home

Manhasset, NY 11030

Monday, September 10th: 7-9pm

Tuesday, September 11th: 2-5pm and 7-9pm

The funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church
1300 Northern Boulevard

Manhasset, NY 11030
Wednesday, September 12th: 10am

Interment will follow at Locust Valley Cemetery
