Lenny was such a nice man- always the perfect gentleman.
I am so glad I had the pleasure of knowing him. My deepest sympathy to Marie and family. May you be spared further sorrow.

Dear, Lenny, you were like the brother I never had, so we shared a bond of brotherly love that not even that evil disease could had broken. Even though we never talked about it, I learned from you how little things in life can yield so much happiness, never to let negative things stand in the way of positive things, to embrace joy in the most dire moments of adversity. From you I learned how to be a true warrior as I witnessed how you fought that disease with the heart and soul of a true warrior. I will never forget your last word to me when I asked you how you felt and you struggled mightily to say "I am happy!' You said it with a smile even though I knew you were hurting. But now I can tell you I am happy for you because I know that from now on you will be eternally happy with all your friends and family waiting for you to arrive. Have a happy journey my friend/brother.

My dear brother-in-law your long courageous battle here on earth which you so bravely fought is over but your journey has just begun. While you will no longer be a presence on this earth, please know that you will always live on in my heart, thought and prayers for you were in every sense of the word my true brother. I will miss your cheerful smile, our telephone conversations and your wonderful sense of humor. The love you had for your two wonderful daughters and three grandsons and they had for you can never be duplicated. Soar with the angels for you deserve no less. Rest in peace.

Mr. Turano, I knew you for 13 years. You always had something wonderful and heart felt to tell me. Even when you weren’t feeling your best, you always asked about how my family and I were doing. You don’t know how much those few words that you said to me in Polish meant. Those special moments when we sang the song My Melody of Love (Moja Droga Ja Cię Kocham) by Bobby Vinton together will forever be in my heart. I remember when Mrs. Turano tried to sing this song with us, and you were laughing, telling her to stop singing because she ‘didn’t have a voice’. You will always be in my prayers. Goodbye Mr. Turano.
