Chris was 2 years ahead of me at St. Mary's High School. He was as his ever present smile/smirk suggested - a funny, playful and engaging guy loved by all who met him. He has left us all way, way too early as the world needs joyful people like Chris. My deepest sympathy to his family in these difficult days ahead. Rest easy brother Chris.

I just found out this terrible news. My deepest condolences to Chris's entire family. I always looked forward to paddle tournament season when I had the opportunity to catch up with Chris and compete against him. There was no one I'd rather lose to than Chris Pace. Chris made you feel like you knew him forever. Truly there was no nicer guy. He will really be missed by everyone.

I was very saddened today to hear about Chris Pace's sudden passing. My brother Brian and I grew up in Manhasset with Chris and his brother Peter. Great memories of PBC Baseball and neighborhood football, hockey and basketball games in the 1970's and 1980's. Both Chris and Peter were great athletes and great guys growing up. Chris will be missed by so many.
I will never forget the 1979 PBC Manhasset World Series that went into extra innings before a tie was called,
Our sincere and deepest condolences to the Pace family!

Chris’s passing unveils the fragility of Life. Like a thief in the night, Death was the dark Spector lurking and seized a gentle, kind Soul. In a blink of an eye, he was swept away. For the remaining connected to him, we face a most difficult acceptance of the imposed terms and awful grasps, as we are faced to question the physical finality of a Life…Life and death.. We ask the question Why ? perhaps to help us deal with questions of his rite of passage.
A harsh Reality stares us in the face to say “HE is gone” from physical and we are left to reflect upon his essence and how he impacted our lives. Chris Pace has impacted many people in many different arena and ways .Rafael and I both have been graced with his presence over the past years. Chris and Raf’s love of guitar brought them both close together and a guitar/friendship bond was forged and cultivated. It was a sweet friendship that cannot be recreated. The past couple years Raf and Chris attended guitar concerts in the city and surrounding areas. Chris initiated many invitations /Raf and was a most gracious /generous host. In addition, We have had Chris at our home several times to brainstorm guitar ideas and music ,including duo guitar jams.
I personally have shared a platform tennis court / games as well as music performances with him.
This is very difficult to process that he is physically gone, but he will always be in my heart till my heart stops beating.
God speed.Chris…Rock on !
With Love ,Barbara
