I have known Drury since our high school days in the mid-50s at Brooklyn Prep. Back then, it was evident that he was a superstar in the making. His career resulted in many successes worthy of high acclaim each and every time. For the last several decades, we reconnected our friendship and I continue to marvel at his extraordinary personal skills that he readily displayed even during his high school years. And I’ll paraphrase a popular saying by offering the following, “Behind every successful man, there is a woman … equally as successful.” This refined axiom more accurately exemplifies the qualities depicted in Cathy, and anyone who knew her even casually can immediately see that she has been a pillar of strength and confidence, with an aim towards unifying her family and friends, coupled with her cordiality, pleasantness, genuine warmth and leadership skills. Cathy was very blessed to have those traits, and her family members are the beneficiaries of all of her talents. As a result, Cathy’s presence will live on with her loved ones for the rest of their lives. May she rest in peace, and we extend our sympathy to Drury and his entire family.
