Obituary of John E. Regan
John E. Regan passed away peacefully on December 14th with his beloved wife Karin of 52 years by his side. Fondly known as Jack by family and friends, he was the loving father of Robert and Elizabeth with her husband Peter; brother to Geraldine with her late husband Richard and Kevin with his wife Barbara; uncle to Richard, Loretta with her late husband Gino, Sharon with her husband Jimmy, his late nephew Kevin with his wife Janette, Kevin with his wife Melissa, and Courtney with her husband Jeff.
Jack proudly served as a New York City Transit Police Officer and, following his retirement, continued to work by pursuing his passion for technology. He was an avid walker and ham radio enthusiast, and he loved to debate politics and discuss the stock market. He was always willing to offer his opinion or a friendly word of advice, and he was forever looking to take on a new project at home, whether it be under the hood of the car or making a necessary home repair. Most of all Jack loved his family. His children were his greatest pride and joy.
With the luck of the Irish in his heritage, he always had a twinkle in his eye and a smile in his heart.
The family expresses special thanks to the devoted caregivers at the Tuttle Center at the Amsterdam for the past three years.
The wake will be held on December 23, 2018 at Fairchild Sons, located at 1570 Northern Blvd, Manhasset, NY 11030; (516) 627-2000; from 3pm to 5pm, and from 7pm to 9pm.
