Obituary of Mary H. Whyte

Whyte, Mary Helen Lanigan of Manhasset NY passed away peacefully on December 14, 2018.  A memorial service will be held on January 6, 2019 from 4 to 8 PM at Fairchild Sons Funeral Chapel, Manhasset NY followed by a funeral service at St. Mary’s Church, Manhasset NY on January 7, 2019 at 10AM.  Burial will be at Pinelawn National Cemetery. Mary was born on October 14, 1921 to Margaret Ryan and John Lanigan. She is survived by her children Christopher (Lorna Amurao), Margaret (James) Cronin, Elizabeth (Robert) Santoro and Marianne (Kevin) Rynne.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Connor and Susan Cronin, Emily Whyte Meridor, Brendan and Andrew Whyte and Thomas, William and Bridget Rynne. In addition she is survived by four great grandchildren with a fifth expected any day.  For many years Mary was an active member of St. Mary’s Parish. She was a successful real estate broker and seller of fine jewelry. She loved to travel and discover new ideas and concepts. In lieu of flowers a donation to St. Mary’s Church would be appreciated. May she Rest In Peace.
