Uncle Shelly, you were so loved, respected, wise, loving and generous.
You were always there from the time I have any memories as a child and now having seen you last spring.
You were always so patient, interested and committed to the well being of my brothers and I and our family. So committed & loyal as a friend to my dad.
Always there for us, for your "other" kids.
I remember hearing Simon & Garfunkel for the first time. It was in your car in the midst of the regular suburban rounds. You always listened to cool music:-)
You were proud of where you came from in Brooklyn and so proud of where you lived for over 50 years in Port Washington, NY. You were a solid and stable role model to my brothers and I, complementing dad as someone sharing his values and (most) of the time his politics too:-). You demonstrated through your affection what a long, loyal and loving friendship looked like between you and our dad. The joy of seeing your pride in your children and love for Myrna was powerful and meaningful seeing it throughout my life and knowing you.
Never forget that the first musical "performance" of my brothers and I would be in your living room:-) You were always encouraging and so interested in our musical career, and in where all three of us were headed and what we were doing. You will never be forgotten and always in my thoughts and heart. Love you Uncle Shelly - marc
