Obituary of Chueihua Tsai Chuang

On Thursday, the 28th of February 2019, Chueihua Tsai Chuang, loving mother of three children and grandmother to two granddaughters, passed away peacefully at the age of 87, in Flushing, New York, less than three months after her husband, of 63 years, Lien-Sheng Chuang, Ph.D., FInstP, passed away.
Mrs. Chuang was born in 1931 in Ping Tung, Taiwan, to Yong-Cai Tsai and Bi-Shuang Huang Tsai. After raising her three children, Mrs. Chuang had a successful career as lecturer of the Japanese language at the Chinese University in Hong Kong, in which she had many students. Mrs. Chuang also authored and supervised the first ever series of Japanese language lessons on Hong Kong Television. She also earned a certificate in Chinese medicine and acupuncture and was considered a physician in Chinese traditional medicine, although she had never practiced in Hong Kong.
Together with her husband, Professor Lien-Sheng Chuang, Mrs. Chuang resided in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, and the United States. She, her husband, and their family traveled widely, visiting numerous countries throughout the world.
Mrs. Chuang is survived by her three children, Tsu Huang (Linus) and his wife, Helen, both physicians in Connecticut and New York; Enna and partner Roger, both attorneys in New York and New Jersey; and Tsu Tshen(Aaron) and his wife, Anna, both research scientists in Italy and the U.K.; and two granddaughters, Kristin, an entrepreneur in New York, and Jessalyn, an engineering student at Columbia University in New York, and many siblings, nieces and nephews, as well as her trusted assistant, Fan Jie.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 11, 2019, at 9:00
a.m., at the Fairchild Sons, Inc. Funeral Chapel, at 1570 Northern
Boulevard, Manhasset, New York.
