Dr. McVicar helped save the life of my sister, Margaret Eileen Eros Shifflett, as a child fighting kidney disease. (The image is of Marg on her wedding day). Dr. McVicar was a critical link in my family’s chain of sanity and beloved of my grandparents and parents. She will be remembered near and afar!

I was a friend of Melinda’s for several decades. We were both high school (Teaneck) and college (Univ. of Pennsylvania.) classmates, and we were close throughout our youth. I hadn’t seen her much at all in recent years since I haven’t lived in the NY area in recent decades. But I thought of her often and missed her, especially her smile and laugh.
