Obituary of Milton J. Ihrig
Please share a memory of Milton to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Milton Ihrig, 89, of Port Washington, NY passed away May 11, 2019. Milton was born in Chicago where he also met his wife, the love of his life. He graduated from University of Buffalo, served in the US Army during the Korean War, and commuted to Manhattan to work in computer product sales for over 25 years. As a longtime resident of Port Washington, he was often seen at sports events, as a passionate supporter of lacrosse, and at the library, as an avid reader and participant in library events. He greatly valued his community — he was an active parishioner of Lady of Fatima Church and frequent volunteer. Milton was a man of few words but had a big presence and touched the lives of many. He is survived by his wife, Wiladean Ihrig; his two daughters, Ellyn Ihrig of Brooklyn, NY and Eileen Ihrig of Waltham, MA; his son, Thomas (Kelly) Ihrig of Frankenmuth, MI; and his two grandchildren, Megan and Dylan Ihrig.
