Thank you Papa for making our lives so special. We were blessed to have you here for 81 years, and yet it hurts so much to let you go. A piece of my heart is broken and it will take a long time to heal. Thank you for all of our talks and life lessons. Thank you for helping me recognize that as my kids are growing, I need to let go a little. You helped me so much with my boys. You were the only grandparent they had. They were so lucky to spend so much time with you in their short lives. We have our memories of playing Scopa, many nights of UNO and I can still see us cringe when you had to Take 4 cards. Thank you for being a father to Tony. He loves you like a son. And you certainly treated him like another son. I still remember when I was a little girl, I would hold your hand during scary movies. Your hand represented a sense of security throughout my life. In your final moments, we held your hands. I hope that you felt our strength as you crossed over into Heaven. I know that you are at peace with Mommy and your parents. That is my only consolation. I love you forever. Until we meet again...

Always strong willed, but soft spoken,
Steadfast in his beliefs but respectful of others
Sarcastic as hell, but caring to his core ...
This is how I will always remember you, Uncle Sal.
I hope you are dancing with Aunt Francis up there. I’ll miss someone asking where my “dumb daddy” is, and your cheesy as hell jokes ..
I know that wherever you are, you’re in your guinea-T, dress shorts and sandals with socks, watering a beautiful lawn ... maybe even teaching others how to plant the most impeccable tomato plants ..
Rest Easy Uncle Sal. We love you

Papa I would like to take this opportunity to say”Rest in Peace”. I never thought that I would ever be writing these words so soon. You weren’t sick and were a picture of health. The only consolation I have is that I was with you on the day that you suffered your abdominal aortic aneurysm. We had the best night before all hell broke lose. You were gardening we ordered pizza together with Linda and her family, played lawn darts and watched a movie. What beautiful memories! I even heard you had a wonderful morning playing bocce with your friends that same day. I tried to be strong as your oldest child and be positive for everyone and to tell you to keep fighting until I couldn’t ask that of you anymore. So I held your hand until you took your last breath and told you that I loved you and that it was ok for you to go be with mommy in your eternal place of rest. You were both mommy and papa to us for many years. You were my best friend. I will miss our great talks, watching movies and videos with you, sitting on your front porch, going to lunch and dinner, our car and shopping trips, our Loukomades dates, our long phone conversations, you sitting under my tree and you being at each and every family gathering. You were a beautiful man on the inside and out, good natured, kind, lovable, strong, knowledgeable, tough but yet funny always playing pranks and telling jokes, the life of the party, you were generous yet humble and everyone that was lucky enough to have met you thought the world of you. Thank you for everything you have done for us and for being there for us.We will make you proud of your legacy that you left behind. I am happy for you and mommy that you are together now. Rest In Peace!
God be with you and bless you!
You are always in my heart my soul and memories
I love you, Love your #1 daughter Roro
