Nancy and I never met; she performed family research for me. We became friends and I will cherish her memory.

I will remember Nancy as a true force of nature: strong, uncompromising and an incredible wit - a beautiful sole. Don, I am so sorry for your loss. Your support and grace during Nancy’s illness was truly inspirational.

Don, We haven't seen each other in decades but I wanted to express my deepest sympathies on the loss of the love of your life. I hope your pain will eventually be eased by the many happy times you shared. (In case you don't remember, I used to hang out at your parents' house on East 40th with the rest of the gang from Vanderveer.)

To my friend Don and family--condolences for your loss.
I was honored to have met Nancy and Don several years ago. She was my employer and friend while working for Columbia Picture. She was an inspiration in my life and a special friend. I appreciated her laugh, her care, her strength and her aspiration for human rights, and her love for earth and mankind. One of our last talk was about meeting for the Women's March in New York. My two sons, Junior and Joey, and I are deeply sadden, she will be miss. She would remain in my heart and thoughts. RIP Nancy.

Frank and I met Nancy and Don in Punta Mita, Mexico. Frank and Don were wearing New York Yankees baseball hats and their conversation about baseball was the beginning of a long and special friendship. We met up with Nancy and Don many times in Mexico, enjoying Christmas dinners in our apartment with Bill, water excursions on Vallarta Adventures and day trips to Punta Mita. We were with Nancy, Don, Lorne and Jackie at Niagara on the Lake when Frank proposed to me. A picture of all six of us at Lorne and Jackie's home is still on my fridge, secured by a magnet. We visited Nancy and Don at their home about ten years ago and had a wonderful, memorable few days together. A dinner boat ride on Lady Liberty from Port Washington to the Statue of Liberty, a night at the Hamptons and a game at Yankee Stadium. Nancy and Don's hospitality was outstanding. As a gift to Frank, Nancy did a Geneology trace on his family and presented him with a keep-sake binder.
My last communication with Nancy was earlier this year in January when I was in Puerto Vallarta and ran into Lorne and Jackie at the airport. When I visited them we took a photo and e-mailed it to Nancy to let her know we missed her, were reminiscing about our happy times together and were thinking of her. She responded that she missed us terribly. We were fighting back the tears.
What an inspiration Nancy was with her passion for life, for important causes, and for the long and courageous battle she fought to live. She was one of a kind.
