Obituary of Joan Miranda

Joan F.  Miranda, of Manhasset, NY, born March 4, 1933, passed away on September 4, 2019. Beloved wife of 62 years to the late, Joseph C. Miranda; mother of Neal J. Miranda and Gail Miranda-Schmidt; mother-in-law of Robert Schmidt; grandmother of Lindsay Weber and Adam Schmidt, and Melanie and Jackson Miranda, grandmother-in-law of Christopher Weber, and great-grandmother to Amelia Hope Weber.  She and Joe (lovingly referred to by their grandchildren as “Cap’n Joe”) spent the prime of their leisure time on their boat, the "I LOVE NEW YORK” and they traveled and made great friends on the sea along the way.   Referred to as “Chickie” by her grandchildren, Joan, has touched many hearts and will be sorely missed.
