Obituary of Gail Bushey

Gail Dorothy Bushey (nee O’Connor) beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend died peacefully Thursday January 30th in Washington, DC. Born to the late George and Dorothy O’Connor on August 4th, 1946 in Brooklyn, Gail attended St. Mary’s High School in Manhasset, NY, graduated from Manhattanville College in 1968 and lived most of her life on Long Island, NY. She actively volunteered in her community before transitioning to a second career as a real estate agent at Daniel Gale Sotheby’s. Gail retired to Easton, MD in 2016. She is survived by her loving husband Gerard, her beloved children Christine Leggett and husband Rich, Peter Bushey and wife Jennie, and Jane Bradshaw and husband James, by her 5 grandchildren William, Henry, Anne, Harrison, and Christopher, as well as by her brother, Christopher O’Connor, and sister, Jane. A wake will be held on Tuesday February 4th from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Fairchild Sons Funeral Chapel, Manhasset, NY. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 5th at 10 am at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Manhasset, NY.
