Obituary of William Volpe

William J. Volpe of Plandome Heights passed peacefully at home on February 26th. He was 86yrs old. Born in Brooklyn to Rose and Joseph. He attended Ft. Hamilton High School, St. John’s College of Pharmacy and Columbia University. Owned of Pace Drugs in New Hyde Park. Upon retirement, worked part time at local pharmacies, the Better Business Bureau and volunteered at schools and the Planting field. Beloved husband of Gloria who he was lovingly married to for over 64 years. Devoted father to Glenn, Robert (Megan), Joseph, pre deceased and William. Cherished grandfather to Sophia, Maximus and Daniella. Bill enjoyed jogging, running, biking, gardening and traveling with Gloria. He remained a Brooklyn Dodger’s fan. Always wore his cap. Forever remembered, forever loved.
